Ann Huntley, Children's Director

Ann was raised in Northampton Township and graduated from The University of Akron with a degree in Elementary Education. She currently lives in Sharon Township with her husband Bryan, children Nicholas, Christian, Garrison and Gracie. Before having children, Ann taught second grade in Twinsburg, Ohio at Bissell Elementary School.

Some of her favorite things are coffee outside in the morning, cookouts and bonfires with family and friends, watching the “Princess Bride", snuggling with her children and sitting by the fire at night with her husband.

Ann and her family have been attending Polaris since 2014 and have enjoyed serving in the Children’s Ministry together. There are many things that Ann loves about the Children’s Ministry at Polaris. The thing she loves most is seeing how the teams of teachers and helpers have developed a sincere love for the children they teach. They are so committed to the children in their classes. Seeing all the time, energy, and love that that they give to the children in their class is very inspiring to her.

One of Ann's favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:10, “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love, honor one another above yourselves." Ann loves this verse because it is a reminder of how we are to live. When considering this verse, she says "The world we live in says put yourself first, and look out for yourself because nobody else will. As Christians, that is the opposite of how we are to be. Everyone has problems in life and we need each other. When we try to live in a way that reaches others with love and kindness, it has power. People find hope and are encouraged. In turn, people can be drawn to the hope that can only be found in Jesus."

Ann’s hope for Polaris is that we would be a church known for our love. Love for Jesus, love for one another, and love for those who are seeking God.
